PRONUNCIATION

RULES OF WORD STRESS IN ENGLISH



1.One word has only one stress
2.If you hear two stresses, you hear two words.

I. ACRONYMS

Stress is on the last letter.

•WHO’

II. COMPOUND NOUNS

stress the first part

•the Whíte-House

III: TWO-SYLLABLE NOUNS


1. All most nouns are stressed on the first syllable.

    granted la mot adv, truoc no khong the la to duoc.
    tuy nhien co le nguoi dung cau nay muon noi la "cu song nhu vay di". granted co nghia la "cu cho la nhu vay di"
